Barbecued Shrimp

Large shrimp or prawns sauteed in mixture of butter , olive oil, garlic, fresh sweet basil, salt, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper. Serve immediately.
Ingredients -
2 pounds Large Fresh Shrimp in the shell (remove heads)
1 cup Butter
1/2 cup Olive Oil
4 tablespoons minced Garlic
1 tablespoon Dried Sweet Basil
4 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
5 tablespoons Black Pepper
 
Preparation:

1. Add butter to large skillet. Melt over low heat.

2. Add olive oil, minced garlic, dried sweet basil, salt, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper to skillet.

3. Cook 15 minutes.

4. Increase heat to medium low. Add shrimp.

5. Cook, stirring occasionally, additional 15 minutes.

6. Serve sauce over shrimp.

 



Cooking Tip
Fresh Shrimp
If Large Fresh shrimp are unavailable, find pre-shelled frozen prawns in the frozen food department of your local supermarket.

Searing Foods
Sear chicken for 3 minutes on each side over direct heat, and then move chicken away from hottest area on grill, baste often, and turning occasionally until done.
